There many seniors who may be lonely and in need of companionship because they are not able to get out of their house to maintain social contact with others.

Seniors are matched with a friendly visitor volunteer who donates one or two hours of their time per week for regular visits to the senior. It may include sharing enjoyable activities such as playing board games, reading a newspaper or magazine aloud, going for walks or rides, participating in hobbies or simply discussing every day affairs and informing seniors about current events happening in their community.

**The volunteers give the isolated seniors the confidence and support they need to continue living independently. **
