Membership Requirements

Residents of Steinbach:

• City residents pay an annual fee for library services through property taxes

• You will need something in writing for proof of residency

     (i.e. driver’s license, utility bill, rent receipt, tax bill)

Non-Residents:

• Annual fee of $70.00 per household

• You will need to provide township / range or street information

The following Rural Municipalities offer rebates:

RM of Hanover - $20.00

RM of Ste Anne - $40.00 (does not include the town of Ste Anne)

Membership Regulations

  1.   No card - no service

  2.   Regular loan period is 3 weeks. Two renewals are allowed if there

        are no reserves

  3.   Frequently Requested books have a 14-day loan period - no

         renewals

  4.   Magazines are loaned for 3 weeks – no renewals

  5.   Video & DVD rentals - $1.50 for 5 days

  6.   Returns may be made any time. The book drop is open 24 hours.

  7.   Late Fees are 30¢ per day per item (except Videos & DVDs).

        Videos & DVD‘s are fined 1.50 per day per item

  8.   Lost / Damaged items - patron is responsible for the cost of

        the item plus a processing fee of $5.00.

  9.   Patrons agree to abide by the Patron Policy

10.   Patrons may phone and give their card number to renew items or

        receive information regarding their account.
